 
Mike is a Property Manager for, and consultant to, Waters Realty & Development. He has gained a thorough knowledge of the importance of Landlord/Tenant relationships and facility maintenance by managing commercial and multi-family residential real estate ranging from a 12,000 square foot office building to a 250,000 square foot office complex; from a 7,000 square foot strip retail strip center to 750,000 square foot regional shopping center; and from a 31 unit low income apartment project to a 154 unit hi-end, full service adult congregate facility. He has been involved in the development, ownership and sales of multi-tenant office, multi-family housing and retail shopping projects, and national chain motels, and therefore he understands real estate development processes, financing and refinancing, and ownership rewards and challenges. He has leased to, and/or been involved in lease negotiations with, national, regional and local businesses for spaces ranging from 1,000 to 120,000 square feet, and he understands the economics associated with leasing and the language and legalities of leases. He was affiliated with, and was President of, a major Grand Rapids based general contracting company, and therefore he understands design and construction processes.
Waters is able to draw on the knowledge Mike has accumulated through real estate management, development, leasing, ownership and construction over the past 35 years, which allows Waters Realty & Development to provide client services beyond those provided by competing property management providers.
